HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!WE LOVE YOU!!
Today is my dear mothers birthday!Today she turned 54,time is flying by so fast,I still can hardly believe my younger sisters are nearly grown and my mother has 3 grandchildren.Seems like just yesterday that the other kids were in school and I was home alone with my mum and little sisters, having tea together, sewing, reading, milking goats, shopping etc.
Everyday I thank God for giving me a wonderful, godly mum.I thank God that she cares about me and my girls and that she is there for me when times are hard.
Every morning I call my mum, usually even before Im out of bed to say Good morning and tell her how much I love her.Daisy loves to call her and tell her all about her day,it is always a special treat for her to go spend the day with grandma. So,this morning Daisy,Lilly and I took a gift, flowers, and stuff to make almond lattes, along with apple fritters and spent a wonderful morning with my mum.
The girls had a fun time reading stories with grandma and playing with Angel their kitten.
Lilly is very sick AGAIN! I actually thought she was beginning to get well, and wham she is sicker than she was to begin with. So,I got out sparkly, princess lip gloss for both girls, along with a new Polly Pocket Princess and Lils still would not stop crying,A dose of Tylenol,a nap,and the movie UP didnt work either....
So....out came the food coloring and bubble bath... all polly pockets and petshop pets were dumped into a purple bubble bath and two little girls jumped in right behind them!(yes i know the water looks black in the pics but I can assure you it wasnt lol)It was 2 very happy little girls in my house for over an hour :)
1 apple
1 banana
1 small handful of nuts
2 tbsp ground flax meal
water to thin
throw all in belnder and blend until consistency of porridge, serve cold, garnish as desired
Andy is growing rapidly and getting cuter, but I'm deeply afraid there is no brain in that little noodle of his!He drives me NUTS!lol some days he does excellent with going potty on the piddle pads, other days he looks at me and will pee on the floor and RUN away as fast as his little short legs can go!Honestly some days I feel like wringing his little neck!those are the days he spends QUALITY time in the kennel!!! lol
I have found him in my heaping pile of clean clothes on the dining room table,in bed with daisy, under the chairs,in the closets,in a purse, lol you name it he has been there! anyhow he is getting better, as you can see he is still skinny but we are trying to get him fattened up,but he runs around so much with the girls I'm having a hard time putting weight on him!
In spite of everything he truly is adorable!
SICKNESS.....
It just doesn't ever seem to end here. The girls and I are sick again with head colds, sore throats, fevers, and coughs...So,once again we have just been lazing around and trying to get well.I have been taking Pseudophed but it doesn't really seem to be making any kind of difference,so I guess we'll just be having another lazy day laying around, napping, drinking steaming hot tea,and watching movies together, watching the snow swirl outside the windows.Today I am very thankful for a warm place to live and plenty of good food.We serve an awesome God!
Time seems to be dragging this morning,Im counting the minutes til naptime for my dear little girls.Lilly has been getting up almost an hour earlier every morning, we have jumped from 8 am to 5 am.I am SOOOO NOT a morning person and this isnt working so well for me!It is only 10:15 and Im yawning and can barely keep my eyes open!lol so I guess its time to break out the coffee!
This afternoon I am going to make some of the biggest changes of our lives.I am going through all the cupboards and cabinets and throwing away everything with sugar and unbleached flour. We are all starting on a raw foods diet, and getting the girls off all dairy and processed foods.
I am totally desperate to get the girls behavior issues under control,I don't think I can do much more the way things are going so I am becoming way more aggressive than I have been and I'm making changes NOW.
After nap we are going to my sisters, her and her husband have been eating raw for about 5 days now,and they have bought a few raw foods uncooked books and I am hoping to get a glance thru them and then I plan to go buy one for myself this afternoon while I'm out grocery shopping.
I'm sure the girls are going to HATE the diet for the first little while, they are so picky and Lilly prefers to go hungry most of the time rather than eat so I'm also going to supplement their diet with a few natural cooked foods such as Oatmeal with apple sauce, rice milk, soy cheese and yogurt, cooked sweet potatoes, scrambled eggs etc.But there will be no sugar or processed foods.
Honesty,Im excited!I cant wait to lose weight and get healthy and make a huge improvement in my girls lives!I also got a membership to the gym,and they have a daycare program that the girls can go to for 2 hours a day.So they can go play and do crafts while I work out, win win situation for both of us! Yay!
Wish me luck my friends! This is what our table will be looking like soon!

Lilly has pretty much never slept through the night,ha she has never slept more than little cat naps here and there all of her life. The first time she was put on medications for sleep was right around 13 or 14 months,at that time she was put on a round of 7 days of heavy sleeping meds to try to pattern her to sleep thru the night....didn't work,so for over 2 years I have been fighting to get her to sleep thru the night,or even long enough that I can get a few winks so I can face the new day with a fresh outlook.
On Feb 2,I was flat out desperate no sleep and the screaming were finally taking their toll on me and I finally broke down and took her back to the doctor and asked him to put her on sleeping meds so I could rest without worrying what she was doing,or getting into(Daisy has been on sleeping meds for months)That night as I measured out her new meds I prayed for sleep and prayed to be able to just relax without worrying about her, first night she was up a couple times then went back to sleep. For the next 12 nights she slept ALL night! It was awesome! My weary body was enjoying every second of being able to finally sleep, but unfortunately the meds have worn off already and she isn't sleeping again :( Her doc put her on melatonin but that does nothing for her,so I have no clue what our next step is but I'm hoping and prating for answers soon, its really rough because Lilly falls asleep by 8 pm and then I wait for Daisy to go to sleep before I remove Lils from my bed and put her in her bed and by this time its usually 1130 or later! and then Lils is up by 1am pretty much every morning! So I'm averaging about 1.5 hr sleep every night before she is awake again.I worry about her not sleeping allot, and what she can get into while I sleep. If anyone has any ideas please feel free to mention it,I'm desperate!See,she doesn't even look tired without sleep does she?Wrong in so many ways!!LOL I on the other hand...well,we wont go there! :p
