Lillian Update

Lilly had a doctors appointment this morning to address some of the ongoing behaviour issues we have had for quite some time now.I was very disappointed when our doctor said he has no answers for us and no clue in which direction to point us :( I almost felt like crying and right there at that moment I decided once again I need to just suck it up and be a big girl and figure out what we are going to do.Because honestly, what other option do i have? lol
Lilly is half potty trained,we use a giant sticker chart and tons of stickers and praise and treats if she poos on the potty etc.well, even tho she is almost potty trained she STILL goes all over the floor at almost any chance she gets.I know for a fact she knows what she is about to do because if she has panties on she takes them off before she pees so she doesn't get her Minnie mouse panties wet lol I made adapted pjs a few months ago and they help some in the evenings and bedtime but for now I'm going to get some kind of waterproof mat that will cover her whole floor and the worry about her carpet will be eliminated lol its a strange thing really because she thinks its funny and howls with laughter when someone reacts to her peeing on the floor.I have ceased to react at all so maybe it will lose its fun factor soon lol
Another issue we have struggled with alot is Lillys sleeping disorders, last night  we decided to take the tvs out of both girls bedrooms and see what happened. We had given them each their own tvs because they didnt sleep at night and we thought it must suck to lay in bed for hours and not be able to sleep.LO AND BEHOLD! Both girls were alseep in 15 minutes of going to bed!I felt like I had hit the jackpot!yay! We will see how it works tonight :)

Melatonin and Sleep Disorders

So,Lilly has been on Melatonin for the better part of 3 weeks now,we have gradually increased until we are at 3 mg at bedtime each night.I am honestly  disappointed in it,it has not made any difference for Lils no matter how we give it.We have even alternated Melatonin for a week and Hydroxizine the next week as the doctor suggested, but now neither one works .Lilly gets up by 12:30am,it makes no difference what time she goes to bed, almost every night its the same no matter what.I wait to go to bed til Daisy falls asleep which lately has been ranging between 8 and 10pm so I'm really not getting much sleep.
I have been on the search for a tent/bed for Lilly so I can at least go to bed and relax knowing she is safe and cant get into harms way.
Anyone got any ideas or suggestions???

Sleeping Disorders SUCK!

Lilly has pretty much never slept through the night,ha she has never slept more than little cat naps here and there all of her life. The first time she was put on medications for sleep was right around 13 or 14 months,at that time she was put on a round of 7 days of heavy sleeping meds to try to pattern her to sleep thru the night....didn't work,so for over 2 years I have been fighting to get her to sleep thru the night,or even long enough that I can get a few winks so I can face the new day with a fresh outlook.
On Feb 2,I was flat out desperate no sleep and the screaming were finally taking their toll on me and I finally broke down and took her back to the doctor and asked him to put her on sleeping meds so I could rest without worrying what she was doing,or getting into(Daisy has been on sleeping meds for months)That night as I measured out her new meds I prayed for sleep and prayed to be able to just relax without worrying about her, first night she was up a couple times then went back to sleep. For the next 12 nights she slept ALL night! It was awesome! My weary body was enjoying every second of being able to finally sleep, but unfortunately the meds have worn off already and she isn't sleeping again :( Her doc put her on melatonin but that does nothing for her,so I have no clue what our next step is but I'm hoping and prating for answers soon, its really rough because Lilly falls asleep by 8 pm and then I wait for Daisy to go to sleep before I remove Lils from my bed and put her in her bed  and by this time its usually 1130 or later! and then Lils is up by 1am pretty much every morning! So I'm averaging about 1.5 hr sleep every night before she is awake again.I worry about her not sleeping allot, and what she can get into while I sleep. If anyone has any ideas please feel free to mention it,I'm desperate!See,she doesn't even look tired without sleep does she?Wrong in so many ways!!LOL I on the other hand...well,we wont go there! :p
