Life is Changing

So, I been thinking a lot about my blog and just how much I miss it so I have decided to get back into the world of blogging about our daily lives and back to the way things used to be. My blog was always a security to me and although I have been busy I have truly missed you all and hope to get back into daily blogging.
So, the beginning of the school year Daisy started at the public school just down the street from us and it ended terribly so once again we decided homeschooling is the way to go. We have her enrolled in an online virtual academy and it is going well, she loves it and we have been able to incorporate al of her special love of Panda Bears into her schooling and  it has been a lot of fun. I can hardly believe how fast she is growing, she will be 7 in July! Seems like yesterday  she was just a tiny baby fighting to live.
Lilly is turning 5 on the 31st of this month, she is attending a specialized school 4 afternoons a week for children with special needs and it is going well! School has become her place to shine, she loves all the arts and craft projects and knows all of her letters and numbers and can read short words, Her teachers are super impressed with all she knows. I'm excited to see what the next years holds in store for her :)

It has been a harsh winter in terms of illnesses but I'm quite sure that is due to the exposure to the of the public school system and they're starting to build up an immune system to all the nasty things they have been shielded from in the past. As I type Lilly is fast asleep on the floor while Daisy sits beside her watching Shrek, She has been sick off and on for the past few weeks and missed a number of days staying home sick, I hope she can rest well and feel better before Monday.
I have a lot to do this weekend (as usual) and the cleaning and laundry seem to be never ending.
I'm so happy to be back, I missed you all greatly and hope you're having a fantastic Saturday!

Halloween!

   Halloween was sooooo much fun!
The girls loved every freaking second of it,and let me tell you they are pretty darn good at conning ppl out of their candy! Some how they brought home about 10lb of this stuff!

Daisy went as Rapunzel from the movie Tangled

Lilly went as Dorothy from the Wizard of OZ

We carved 4 pumpkins then forgot to take pictures lol So I went and snapped a pic of one of them on the porch in the snow,it actually looks quite pretty sitting out there tonight :)

All in all I would say Halloween was a success this year everyone had tons of fun!

Daisys New Pets

So,Daisy has been begging for a crab for months....Well,since she first saw the Little Mermaid, she fell in love with Sebastian and carried around a little plastic crab for months. Then she fell in love with Mr.Crabs from Spongebob (yes,I know that is a horrible show and I do not permit my kids to watch it,however others do not feel the same way I do so on rare occasion they see it at Grandmas).Last night in the middle of this blizzard we took the girls to Petco and let them pick 2 hermit crabs. They are pretty cool and Daisy is in heaven!(these r google images but almost identical to ours)

Saturday Morning Ramblings

It has been another busy, busy week.Trying to keep up with everything that is going on around me lol.
Daisy's big dance performance is coming up next month,so we are trying to keep up with class and practicing at home,She also started attending a children's Bible group once a week, she LOVES it!This week they learned a bible verse, played games, had a snack, colored pictures and planted an Iris for her to bring home and water through the winter. She was soooo excited!
Lilly has been doing a little better, things seem to be mellowing out for the moment, she has her BIG appointment with an Autism Specialist the beginning of November,so we are looking forward to that, with both excitement and fear.I know no diagnosis will change my daughter or how I feel about her, however knowing the different diagnosis (es) would be beneficial in terms of therapy and possibly future medications.
We pretty much skipped fall here and went right into winter, several weeks ago we got 4 inches of snow,it didnt last long before it melter but it was fun while it lasted lol
I have gotten back into the "I hate leaving my house" mode again so I have been getting alot accomplished.I have sewed 5 sweater dresses in the past week for the girls,so they are really excited about them and wear them constantly.I have alot of issues keeping clothes on Lilly especially but with these dresses BOTH girls stay dressed ALL day which is a HUGE accomplishment in my house!
My computer still will not let me post pictures from my camera which is a huge pain in hte tush,so I have been trying to upload all pictures from my phone but its a pain too lol so Im really sorry about no pictures today, maybe later!
Hope you all have a blessed weekend!

My Girls

I totally love both my girls with all my heart and some days I feel like Daisy doesn't get as much attention as she needs and deserves, being 4 and my oldest so I have been trying to incorporate allot more time with just Daisy into my schedule. For instance, keeping Daisy up during Lilly's nap time or even 30 minutes after Lilly goes to bed.It really seems to be helping Daisy and its such a blessing to me to get to watch her learn and develop,I cant believe how big she is already.I love spending time with her, making things with her, reading her stories and just enjoying visiting with her,it is always a special time for both of us.We have been playing with the fake makeup I made and also with these crazy colored wigs Daisy loves,I have just been really enjoying her company :)

Golfing with Daisy

Last Monday evening (after our very long day) Lilly went and spent some time with Nick's mum while we took Daisy to play mini golf for the first time with friends. It was calm and peaceful and I was finally able to relax and just give Daisy all my time and attention,we all had a wonderful evening.
After golfing we took Daisy to Barnes and Noble and she got to pick out 2 Fancy Nancy books and we all shared Frappucino at Starbucks,it was so much fun.

Last night I wanted to do something special with Daisy,I kinda feel like she has been lost in the hustle of moving and Lilly's screaming fits.So after Lilly went to bed I let Daisy stay up later than usual and I trimmed all her nails and painted them and she was soooo happy. She is such a typical girly girl and I love it!
